How to Host a Drive

Plan your drive. Choose your start and end dates, collection location(s), and the wishlist items your group would like to collect.

Register your drive. Click “Sign Up to Host a Drive” and complete the form. Let us know if you need collection boxes, holiday wrapping for the boxes, box delivery, or donation pickup.

Connect with our team. An RMH team member will contact you to coordinate the details. Please allow up to one week for a response during the busy holiday season.

Spread the word and collect. Invite your friends, coworkers or community to participate. Use the approved logos available below to promote your drive, and refer to our accepted-items list when collecting donations.

Arrange pickup or delivery. Coordinate with our team to have your donations picked up or deliver them to Ronald McDonald House at 2901 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC 29203. Include your preferred pickup or delivery date on the registration form.

Accepted Items

Food & Pantry Essentials

• Nonperishable foods, such as pasta, rice, canned goods and cereal
• Individually packaged snacks, such as crackers, granola bars and fruit cups
• Pantry staples and easy-to-prepare meals

Please donate unopened items in their original packaging and within their expiration dates.

Toys & Gifts

• New, unused and unwrapped toys for all ages, including infants, toddlers, children and teens
• Books, puzzles, board games and craft kits
• Gifts for teens, such as journals, art supplies and headphones

Please leave gifts unwrapped so our team can match them to each child’s age and interests.

FAQ’s

Who can host a wishlist drive?
Individuals, families, businesses, schools and community groups are welcome to participate!

Can I collect donations at multiple locations?
Yes! Include the address of each collection location on your registration form.

Can RMH provide collection boxes?
Yes. You can request extra-large collection boxes on the form, including holiday wrapping with our logo and delivery to your location.

Should I wrap donated toys?
Please leave all toys new, unused and unwrapped. Holiday wrapping is available for collection boxes, not individual gifts.

Can RMH pick up our donations?
Yes. Request pickup on your registration form, or arrange to deliver donations to 2901 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC 29203. Our team will coordinate the details with you.

When will I hear back after registering?
Please allow up to one week for an RMH team member to contact you during the busy holiday season.
